Our aim is to assist our customers wherever and as much as possible. Sometimes where it takes longer than expected to solve a problem (as can certainly happen with computers) - we will generally wear the cost of this, and only charge you for what we believe the job should fairly cost. This saves you from the horror stories we hear from some of our competitors, who will continue charging - even where the cost of service work begins to meet or even exceed the cost of replacing the entire computer!
Our knowledge and skill base is broad, as our technicians have joined us from varying different backgrounds. Our technicians share their specific knowledge across our stores, so that you as our customer will be sharing in as much knowledge as possible to repair your problems efficiently. Should our internal skills ever be lacking, or where specific knowledge is required for your particular circumstances, we will either up-skill ourselves at our cost, or point you in a more appropriate and cost-effective direction.
IN-HOUSE / IN-STORE (OUR PLACE)
Our in-house labour is the most cost effective way for us to service your machine. The minimum labour charge is currently as low as $59 including GST ($51.30+GST).
We don't charge for "desk-time" as such (the time your computer is scanning/updating etc), which unfortunately many of our competitors do. As some scans can take a few hours, or even days, we are generally very competitive with our pricing for such jobs.
As for length of time without your computer - we generally plan for approximately a 3-day turn around time. Although the diagnosis may only take half an hour or so, the jobs do go into a queue so that the technicians can plan out their work. It's important to note too that often scans alone can take a day or more to run, depending on the requirements. If your particular job may take longer, we will do our best to inform you of this, and anticipate a new time-frame for you.
If you're needing a shorter time-frame, depending on the work load at the time of booking in, and the nature of the job, we may be able to offer a next day service, but this service will incur additional charges. The service co-ordinator can discuss this with you at the time of booking in, but as a guideline this will add $59 including GST.
ON-SITE / ON-LOCATION (YOUR PLACE!)

We realise that it is sometimes easier for us to come to you, that is why we have onsite repairs for both businesses and home users. This saves you the hassle of unplugging your PC etc. Our onsite charges are more expensive at $69 per 1/2 hour including GST ($60.00+GST), with a callout charge of $69 including GST which covers our travel time & costs etc (Auckland wide), and a minimum charge of 1/2 hour an hour of our time (at $69 including GST). If something is very simple, and takes less than a couple of minutes to fix, we can be flexible on the rate, and or if you are very close by (walking distance).
We don't charge you separately for our time travelling to your premises, as many of our competitors do! This is covered within the call-out charge.
Our on-site technicians have the latest equipment to fix most problems quite quickly (including scans on your machines) - therefore our charges are kept to a minimum. If your issue looks like it will take longer to resolve, our onsite technicians will bring your machine back to our premises to work on, which will save you even more money.
We consistently surpass our competitors in this area, and our overall charges are some of the cheapest on the market (taking into account time we actually take to get things done, which is a lot less than many of our competitors).
NEVER BE FOOLED BY CHEAPER HOURLY RATES - If people are charging less per hour, there's probably a good reason for it...!
Some examples of what we can do for you include:
We can install any hardware purchased either from us, or from anywhere else should you have something already. Some examples include optical drive upgrades, RAM upgrades, hard-drive installations and formatting, internal cards etc (these things generally take around 1/2 and hour to 1 hour).
Setup New Machines
It doesn't matter if you purchase your new computer from us, or from any other store - we can still set it up for you, making it easier for you to use, and saving you on internet download time etc for updates to software etc. Labour charges generally around one-hour for machines purchased from us, and from 1.5 to 2 hours for machines purchased from elsewhere.
Got windows problems? Machine running very slow? Does your computer crash regularly? Bring it in to us, we will get it running like it should be.
If you haven't already, we can update any Windows service packs etc, as often these can cause trouble if and when downloaded and installed and updated over the internet.
Windows repairs can become complicated and generally take 1 to 2 hours labour, unless quite complicated which could exceed this (generally we would suggest a format/re-install if this were the case).
We can install any software for you, including Norton AntiVirus, Norton Internet Security, Microsoft Office, MYOB, Adobe Acrobat, games etc.
Your computer collects extra files and dust that will slow it down and may eventually cause a system crash. We check your system for unused files, updating your virus scanner and cleaning out the fans etc.
From the home network (a couple of computers) to the small business (say 10 to 15 computers) business network, we can assist you. We have experience with Lion Server, Microsoft Small Business Server, and Microsoft Exchange etc.
If you are after a standard internet connection, or a broadband connection (including Xtra, Orcon, or any other ISP), we can talk to you about your requirements, and set it up on your machine(s) for you. We can provide you with the hardware you need also.
We pride ourselves on the fact that we will offer you - the customer - the best system for your needs. We are not interested in selling you just the latest and greatest, we do not have bonuses based on sales targets and dollar values. We're more concerned with what you ACTUALLY need. The majority of our business is from repeat customers, for this very reason. If you feel like you've been sold something that is more expensive than what it needed to be, we may not see you again, and that would benefit neither of us.
Consumables (Printer Cartridges, Blank CD's, DVD's etc)
We have a large range of genuine printer ink and toner cartridges in stock, and all the blank CD's, DVD's, and even the old floppy disks that you might need. Call us for pricing if you would like - we are generally cheaper than most other retail shops we have researched.
Cables and Accessories
We have an extensive range of computer cables and accessories, ranging from disk cleaners to USB flash drives, to external hard drive enclosures.
Second Hand Systems
We buy and sell second hand computers, and this can often be a cost effective way to obtain an upgraded computer. Our second hand gear changes rapidly, so come in and see us or call us to find out what you need.
Custom Built Systems
We can build a PC to your exact needs. We listen to what you are going to use it for, and custom design a machine based on that - "don't pay for what you don't need" is our motto in this regard. We will make various recommendations and provide options to future proof you a bit also.
